All about Star of the Week
In our classroom we have a very special bulletin board for a Star of the Week. It is special because it gives each student a chance to shine and share about themselves to their classmates!
To help prepare for this week and the special recognition, please begin gathering:
- Photos from birhto present
- Awards, certificates, ribbons, exceptional projects, ect
- Things that your child likes to do such as: hobbies, sports, movies, games, favorite books, favorite places, ect.
If possible, please mount the pictures on paper and label them so they can be easily attached to a bulletin board.
The following are other ideas to share with the class:
- Date and place of birth
- Family members
- Favorite hobbies
- Pets
- "Future Me" ("when I grow up, I want to be...")
- Favorite foods
- Favorite T.V programs
- Favorite sports or activities
- Trips Taken
Each day during his/her special week, he/she will have an opportunity to share at least one of the things with the class. All items will be returned after they have been displayed.
